Burn Boot Camp Flowood

Not a traditional training job. Not a traditional sales job.

It is a full-time working management position for someone who loves fitness, people, competition, and growth.

At Burn Boot Camp Flowood, we are building our location around three full-time leaders who can collectively operate the gym. Every one of those leaders:

Each person also owns a critical part of the business. For this position, that ownership is: Grow It.

Your mission

Help more people become Burn members

You are responsible for helping manage the journey from:

  1. Lead
  2. Conversation
  3. Trial
  4. Show
  5. Sale
  6. Member

Marketing can produce leads. Burn can provide an incredible product. But somebody needs to make sure opportunities don't sit unanswered in a CRM.

That's where you come in.

Where you fit

One of three full-time leaders

Each leader trains, serves, and helps operate the gym, and each owns one critical part of the business.

Responsibilities

What you will own

Lead management

You will help own the lead pipeline, including:

  • New lead follow-up and fast response to inquiries
  • Calls and text messages
  • Trial booking and trial reminders
  • No-show recovery
  • Unsold prospect follow-up
  • Old lead reactivation
  • Former-member reactivation

A lead should never disappear simply because nobody followed up.

Membership sales

You will become excellent at explaining the value of Burn:

  • Membership conversations and trial follow-up
  • Closing memberships
  • Understanding member goals
  • Handling common objections
  • Explaining membership options and promotional offers
  • Following up with prospects who aren't ready today
  • Helping the entire team become better at sales

We do not view sales as pressuring someone. Done correctly, sales is helping the right person make a decision that can improve their life.

Local growth

Growth doesn't happen only through digital advertising. You will also help drive:

  • Community partnerships and local business relationships
  • Referral campaigns and bring-a-friend opportunities
  • Lead-generating events and local promotions
  • Former-member reactivation
  • Grassroots marketing and community visibility

We want someone who thinks beyond "Did another Facebook lead come in?" We want someone asking: "What can we do today to put another person in front of Burn?"

Promotions

You will help execute and drive company promotions:

  • Understanding the offer and talking about it confidently
  • Following up
  • Selling promotional packages
  • Tracking results
  • Helping the team execute
  • Learning what worked and what didn't

Performance in areas like membership growth, promotional sales, and net-new members may be tied to additional incentive compensation.

12–15camps a week
You are still a Trainer

Trainer comes first in the title for a reason

This position is expected to train approximately 12–15 camps per week, depending on scheduling and business needs. You should love training, energy, member interaction, fitness, helping people improve, and creating an incredible camp experience. Your time outside of camps is what makes this role different: when you aren't training, you are helping grow the business.

Teamwork

How you work with the other two leaders

You are one part of a three-person full-time management team.

Gym Manager / Trainer

Their primary responsibility is making sure the team, numbers, schedule, and overall business operate correctly. You will work closely with the Gym Manager on:

  • Membership goals
  • Lead performance and conversion numbers
  • Promotional results
  • Staffing
  • Overall gym performance

Trainer / Member Success Specialist

Getting members is only valuable if we keep them. You will work closely with Member Success to make sure the people you help bring into Burn:

  • Get properly onboarded
  • Become engaged and attend consistently
  • Build relationships
  • Get results
  • Stay members

They may also identify happy members who are excellent referral opportunities for you.

Growth and retention should feed each other.

During camps

When you train, you train

When another full-time leader is training, you may occupy the front-floor / BA management seat. That can include:

Our BA function is a seat that must be covered, not necessarily a separate full-time position.

Typical week

About 35 hours

The goal is a predictable full-time schedule. A typical week may look like:

DayTypical hours
Monday12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Tuesday5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Wednesday3:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Thursday5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Friday1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Saturday8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Approximate total35.5 hours

Schedules may adjust for events, staffing, vacations, and business needs.

Your scoreboard

We care about outcomes

We believe responsibilities should have numbers attached to them. Key measurements may include:

  • Leads
  • Contact rate
  • Trial appointments
  • Show rate
  • Close rate
  • Membership sales
  • Net new members
  • Promo sales
  • Referral leads
  • Reactivations

You won't be judged only by activity. We care about outcomes.

Who we're looking for

You may be a great fit if you

You do not need to fit the stereotype of a pushy salesperson. We want someone who can connect with people, understand what they need, and confidently ask them to take action.
Why this opportunity is different

Success can create your next opportunity

Burn Boot Camp provides the opportunity to build your career inside an established national fitness brand while working for local franchise owners who want to continue growing.

The goal isn't simply to operate one successful gym forever. We want to build successful locations, identify great leaders, and create opportunities for those people as we grow. Future opportunities may include:

None of those opportunities are guaranteed. They have to be earned through results.

But if you are looking for a place where success can create your next opportunity, that is exactly the type of company we want to build.

The simple version

Your job is to:

Grow It.

If the idea of helping grow the gym, and benefiting when it grows, gets you excited, we'd like to meet you.
